Fernanda Martín del Campo

Founding Partner

For a large part of her life, Fernanda grew up in a hotel in Oaxaca, run by her father, hence her passion for hotels, travel, and ease of connecting with people. Fernanda was a travel advisor for 17 years at ITG, one of the leading luxury travel agencies in Mexico City. She has been honored with the following awards: Virtuoso (Most Admired Travel Advisor in Latin America/Caribbean in 2017) and Marriot Luxury Brands (Celestial Club Winner in 2019 for Latin America/Caribbean). She has participated in Virtuoso’s pre-opening committees of the Hotel Lutetia in Paris and Hotel de la Ville in Rome. Fernanda has been in the tourism industry all her life. Before becoming a travel consultant, she worked at Hotel Victoria in Oaxaca for a year, in the travel magazine Blue & Blanc for three years, and coordinated the hotel book “Do we go, or do we stay?” from Landucci Editors. Fernanda graduated with a degree in Hotel Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana and did part of her internship in Paris. She studied most of her life in Mexico City, except for a year of boarding school in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a semester abroad in Paris.

Javier Arredondo

Founder and President, Travesías Media

Javier has been in the travel and media industries for two decades. In 2001, he founded Travesías Media, a media company focused on tourism and current events. Their publications and projects include Travesías – the leading brand in luxury travel in Mexico – as well as Gatopardo, local.mx, travel guides, books, videos, and websites. The company works closely with leading global brands in the luxury and travel industries. In 2016, Javier also launched Club Travesías, which offers experiences focused on art, design, architecture, history, gastronomy, and archeology, available through a membership model. Alongside Travesías, he has been a strategic partner of Virtuoso for Latin America since 2002 and of ILTM since 2004. In both cases, it has supported Travesías’s growth strategies in the region’s luxury travel segment. Furthermore, Javier is a media partner of the World Travel and Tourism Council since 2008. He has been president of the patronage of the Museum of Mexico City and a member of the board of the Global Travel Advisory Board of Shangri-La hotels. He is part of the board of directors of the Patronage of Mexican Contemporary Art. He was also selected as an entrepreneur by Endeavor and now participates as a mentor. Javier has a degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and completed postgraduate studies in Human Geography from the UNAM and in International Relations from Georgetown University. He attended the Executive MBA (AD2) program at IPADE and the ECLA executive program at Columbia University Business School.

Always active, curious, and passionate about everything that surrounds her, Alejandra seeks to fill her clients’ trips with unique and unforgettable experiences. This has led her to shape her philosophy: “Travel with a purpose.” She is always trying to ensure that her clients obtain the best service possible and an experience rich in content, positively marking their lives.

Andrés Navia

Andrés has been involved in the travel industry in various capacities, ranging from leisure and education, to his work in international development. He’s an advocate of sustainable tourism and the benefits it brings to the soul, social and economic well-being, environmental sustainability and cultural safeguarding. He’s passionate about architecture, design, archaeology, classic and modern art -he directed a modern Latin American Art Museum in Washington DC-, baroque music, heated vinyasa, and also a zealous animal lover. He worked for seven years at the Inter-American Development Bank in cultural and nature tourism projects in the Maya region where he managed a sustainable tourism program focused on a multi-country, multi-million dollar investment plan in Mexico and Central America in coordination with governments, the private sector, communities, archaeologists and infrastructure specialists and established partnerships with the National Geographic Society, US National Park Service and Conservation International to support the plan. Andrés was born and raised in Colombia, has lived in the US for the last 25 years, and currently lives in Atlanta. He grew up surrounded by a gastronomy-loving family and he’s currently publishing a family cookbook. His desire to share the endless beauty, adventures and culture the world has to offer were his motivation to join the T-J team. Currently, Andrés’ most sought after travel destination is in eastern and southern Africa. Andrés is a graduate from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, where he studied Political Science which included a year at Boston University. He’s also a professionally trained actor from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre of New York.

She has been an avid traveler and has visited many wonderful places around the world while experiencing top hotels and restaurants. Patricia is from Medellín, Colombia, and is eager to share her love for travel with her Travesías Journeys’ clients. She’s an intelligent luxury fashion shopper and has ample knowledge and appreciation of design hotels and fine dining. Good food is on top of her list; she recently took a course on French Cuisine at Cordon Bleu in Madrid, an experience that increased her enjoyment of this pleasure even more. She also loves music and concerts of all sorts. Patricia’s professional experience in the tourism industry began years ago when she worked with the Department of Trade and Tourism at the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. She obtained her BA in business from Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida, and shares her work as a travel advisor with co-managing her family’s cattle ranch in Colombia.

Later, she worked for 3 years at Grupo Expansión, at Instyle and Quién magazines, in Lifestyle sections. Here, she developed a taste for the world of travel and gastronomy. In 2008, together with her sister, she founded Mosicuss, a women’s accessories brand. In which she has been working for more than 10 years. Mosicuss has opened the door to a world of culture and fashion. In 2013, she joined ITG where she worked for more than 7 years. There her true passion for designing trips and discovering every corner of the world was revealed. Carla believes that to conquer each place, you have to walk it, eat it and drink it. She is convinced that, literally, the world has to be eaten. She loves taking the time to personalize each trip. Choosing each reservation, activity and place always thinking about the client and what each of them will enjoy the most. In 2020, with great excitement, she joins the Travesías Journeys team, a new project with a renewed vision of the world of travel, which seeks to create unique experiences for each traveler, always taking care of every detail.

She is passionate about Mexican culture which has prompted her to travel the country, and also having two-month stays in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas and in Akumal, Quintana Roo. Where she dedicated herself social service supporting the communities on various issues as well as traveling.In 2018 she entered ITG where she learned the meaning of excellence in customer service. She loves nature and adventure trips, as well as exploring new and unconventional places. But above all, what he enjoys the most is traveling with clients, making sure they have the best experience and that every detail of the trip is tailored to each customer . She is currently joining the Travesias Journeys team with the intention of continuing to offer the best service and personalized attention.
